It all started with my wife hosting a surprise 30th birthday for me where she flew in all my closest friends along with the BC crew.  My wife, brother and Willie took my old 1984 Surburban (and with a lot of help from Skyjacker) they turned it into a NEW truck!  It was the best present I could ever get!  The party was unforgettable!  Now it was time for the BC crew to hunt for the next week!

Jason Aldean and Kevin Weldon were kind enough to kick off our E3 hunt with a concert the first evening.  Be sure and check out the footage of Willie in front of 8,000 screaming fans introuducing Aldean….pretty funny!

Chip came to hunt a few days before the party and ended up stealing the show with a quick 165″ buck! It didn’t come easy, he spent 8 hours in the tree before he saw the first deer.  He rode the hole and put a GIANT on the ground! Not many days after that, Chip killed another GIANT 8 point that we’d been after for a while.  Not even 2 days into the hunt and Chip was leading the pack!

Our newest Buckman, Tom Martin also smoked a HUGE 8 pointer for his biggest bow kill to date, and his first kill with the BC bow!

I had a few encounters myself that week with a 180″ buck I call “Big Boy” that I was determined to hunt after receiving several trail cam pics of him before season.

Other than the BC boys loosing a much talked about volleyball game to a local girls team, everything was GREAT!

I wish I could tell you how many people were in camp that week….I”m guessing around 30,  we had tons of people in and out all week!  Oh well, the more the better!  The bucks were just a bonus!  We are now getting ready for our group hunt in Brady in about 2 weeks!  Until then, good luck and remember, it’s NOVEMBER so get in the woods!

PS.  Oh yeah,  that buck I call “Big Boy”….he’s dead!  I killed him on the way to my stand the week after the group hunt!  We had to put a stalk on him and the first kill of 2009 for myself is in the books! Not a lot of time for details,  I’m headed to the stand so here are some pics!
