David Adam LaRoche was born in Orange County, California. Adam is married to his wife Jenn, and has two children, Drake and daughter Montana. Adam was originally signed by Brave’s scout Brian Kohlscheen, and is now currently playing with the Pirates organization as a first basemen. His father, Dave, pitched for the Angels, Twins, Cubs, Indians and Yankees in the 1970s and early 1980s. As we say in the south, hunting and fishing has always been in Adam’s blood. When Adam isn’t tossing the baseball around, he is usually preparing for the next hunting season. As fall arrives and the leaves begin to drop, he quickly trades his ball and glove in for a bow and arrow.

Q: How long have you been hunting?
A: About 20 years.

Q: Who introduced you to deer hunting?
A: A buddy named Josh Lundberg. He used to pick me up and we hunted before school would start.

Q: What is your favorite state to hunt? Why?
A: Kansas, because you never know what your going to see!

Q: What is your most memorable deer hunt?
A: First hunt with my son, drake. We didnt kill anything but I will never forget it. He was 2 years old.

Q: How big was your biggest buck?
A: 230" inches with a gun and 170" with a bow.

Q: What's your "dream" buck (your ideal trophy)?
A: Any buck over five years old.

Q: Do you have any hunting supersitions?
A: No

Q: Bow hunting or gun hunting? Why?
A: Bow because once you've done it. You'll never go back.

Q: Tell us about your first deer hunt?
A: Southeast KS, 20 degrees, missed a doe at 20 yards....Let's leave it at that.

Q: What is your favorite Movie?
A: A River Runs Through It

Q: If Hollywood wanted to make a movie about your life, what famous actor would play you? Why?
A: Matthew McConaughey, he wouldnt do it but it would be alot cooler if he did!

Q: If you couldn't deer hunt, what else would you do during the off season?
A: Dont say that! ITS NOT FUNNY!!!!
